Virgin Media services are working again after they temporarily went down earlier today.

Users were unable to use Wi-Fi and problems were recorded across the UK, including in London, Cardiff and Birmingham, according to Down Detector.

Virgin Media communicated with customers this morning to explain that the problem was being looked into.

Down Detector showed that users were reporting issues with landline internet and TV streaming.

Customers took to Twitter to share their concern with one tweeting: “Anyone else having issues with Virgin Media this morning?”

With a picture of the company’s logo, another said: “Is anyone else having problems with @virginmedia wifi this morning? I can’t even get on the website to check status! #VirginMedia”

Virgin Media problems have been resolved

The company has now confirmed that the problems users experienced have been resolved.

Virgin Media has apologised to its customers who were affected by the outage.

A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We’ve restored broadband services for customers but are closely monitoring the situation as our engineers continue to investigate. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
