The Change is a new comedy-drama that will be showing on Channel 4, which has been created, written by and starring Bridget Christie.

She plays a character called Linda, who has a bit of reckoning after what she thought was early on-set dementia turns out was her starting menopause.

In response, she digs out her old Triumph motorcycle and goes on a pilgrimage around her old haunts in the Forest of Dean to do something for herself for a change and reconnect with the person that she used to be.

Speaking about the series when it was first announced, Morwenna Gordon – executive producer for Expectation Entertainment – said: "We couldn't be more excited to work with Bridget on channelling her brilliant comic voice into a narrative comedy.

"She's putting the menopause at the heart of the story, against the beautiful, magical and at times unsettling backdrop of The Forest of Dean, and we’ve no doubt The Change will be a real treat for Channel 4 viewers."

Alongside Bridget a whole cast of talent features in the show, including Monica Dolan and Omid Djalili.
