FOLLOWING an 11am pitch inspection, Shortwood’s New Year’s Day clash against league leaders Cirencester Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The match would have marked the return of centre back Mark Pritchett who left the Wood last week to link up with Brian Hughes’ side.
Pritchett went straight into the starting line-up at Bridgwater on Saturday and played his part in the battling 3-1 win which left the Centurions on top of the table.
Meanwhile, Shortwood have put in seven days notice of approach for Cirencester Town left-back Ben Prictor, who previously joined Town from Hellenic Premier Brimscombe.
Ciren are also trying to fend off another bid from Paulton Rovers for former Forest Green striker Lee Smith, the league’s joint-top scorer with 21 goals in 22 games.
