FOREST GREEN will begin the new National League season with an away game against Boreham Wood.
The New Lawn outfit have been handed a meeting with the Hertfordshire outfit on Saturday, August 6 in a seven-game opening month.
Rovers' first home fixture will take place three days later with the visit of National League boys Sutton United, who will include former Cheltenham Town winger Ryan Burge.
Goalkeeper Sam Russell will welcome his former club Gateshead as they visit the New Lawn on Saturday, August 13.
Mark Cooper's side host Southport on bank holiday Monday, August 29.
Forest Green's festive schedule will feature a visit Torquay United for the second year in a row on Boxing Day – a fixture they lost 4-1 last season – with the return game on New Year's Day.
Rovers end the season on Saturday, April 29 with a trip to York City, who were relegated from League Two last season.
