FROCESTER 2ND XI moved 19 points clear at the top of the WEPL Gloucestershire division after defeating bottom of the table Apperley by eight wickets.
Apperley won the toss and elected to bat on what appeared to be a good wicket.
The hosts posted a competitive total of 241 all out in their 50 overs, with Ashley Davis claiming four wickets Frocester and Sam Birch taking three.
However, after the tea break Frocester showed just how good the wicket was chasing the required runs inside 38 overs with the loss of just two wickets.
Callum Gegg (77) and James Cook (78) featured in an opening partnership of 160 and Liam O’Doherty(35 not out) and Will Helmke (20 not out) finished the job.
