Minch visited Stroud on the last day of the Greene King GCCL Division 5 season with many potential scenarios subject to the result.
A recent poor run of form, notably with the bat, has seen Minch lose five in a row - leading skipper Jaime Waring to bowl first having won the toss.
Opener Rhys Hoy found instant swing and removed Dutton for a duck. When Richings was clean bowled by Venn soon after Hen Auster took a sharp catch behind the stumps again off Venn, Stroud were struggling.
With the ball swinging in a big way Waring turned to Benoy Ittyavirah who embarked on his second five-wicket haul of the season.
The returning Pete Wallis took a stunning slip catch and Auster another behind the stumps as Ittyavirah destroyed the Stroud middle order.
Veteran John Turton and skipper Waring also picked up a wicket, Flannery the only batsmen to reach double figures as Stroud were just 69ao.
Ittyavirah finished with fine figures of 5-22. In reply, Minch lost Hen Auster early caught at slip but brother Howard Auster (15) calmed things down as Minch ran well between the wickets.
A slight wobble saw Auster & Alex Waring dismissed but the experienced duo of Ross Britton (13) and Dave Gordon (25no) added a 30 run partnership.
Britton fell just before the end but Gordon guided Minch home inside 20 overs and securing a 20 point win and third place for the season.
