Forest Green faced League One outfit Coventry City in Checkatrade Trophy group game last night.
Mark Robins’s men – who were Wembley winners in the competition in 2017 – grabbed the lead after just two minutes of a low key affair at the Ricoh Arena but Rovers fought back through Issac Pearce, settle for a disappointing draw – but picked up a valuable point from a penalty shoot-out, which they lost 4-2 after the final whistle.
