Gloucestershire County Football League
Stonehouse Town 2
Southmead CS Athletic 1
Stonehouse Town climb up to fifth with victory over struggling Southmead CS Athletic.
Stonehouse went ahead on seven minutes with a superb solo effort from Liam Wright who broke down the right, cut in past a defender and coolly drove the ball past the keeper.
The visitors levelled the game on 17 minutes from a corner that was not cleared by the home defence and Adom Heron pounced to knock the ball over the line. Five minutes later, the home side regained the lead when Chris Earle broke down the flank, pulled the ball back to the edge of the box and Luke Soule drove the ball home.
The second half was quite and Stonehouse held on for the win.
