FOREST Green boss Mark Cooper has dismissed rumours linking Rovers with a loan move for Bristol City striker Mo Eisa.
Cooper has expressed his desire to sign a striker but cooled rumours linking the club with a move for the former Cheltenham Town forward and believes it’s highly unlikely he’d drop back into League Two.
"It's the first I've heard about it," said Cooper. "Mo Eisa's at a Championship club, so will he come to Forest Green?
"Would Christian Doidge? He'd probably want to but there'd be far bigger clubs, league one club's, who would want to take him so would Mo Eisa come to League Two? I very much doubt it.
Cooper also confirmed the striker wasn't at the game at the New Lawn at the weekend.
Eisa has struggled with injuries since moving to Lee Johnson's Bristol City and has recently returned to training.
Johnson, is son of Gary who was sacked by Eisa's former club Cheltenham Town earlier in the season.
