Toolstation Western League Premier Division
Bitton 7
Shortwood United 1
By Andy Radford
SHORTWOOD are still searching for their first points of the season as they suffered another heavy Western League Premier defeat.
Dean Griffiths scored a hat-trick for Bitton as they overturned an early deficit to defeat Shortwood United 7-1. Having fallen behind to Joey Tustain's 10th minute effort,
Bitton responded through goals from Jordan Whittaker and former Shortwood midfielder Josh Egan to go ahead by two goals to one at the break. Griffiths then took over the contest, scoring with his right foot, left
foot and head to help Bitton romp home in a dominant five-goal second half which included further efforts from Whittaker and Joe McLennan.
