FOREST Green manager Mark Cooper has revealed that Bury are the best team Forest Green have faced so far this season.

Having played all the teams in League Two, the Rovers boss was impressed by Shakers who won at the New Lawn back in January.

Cooper also rates this weekend's opponents Mansfield Town highly and has been most impressed with them and Bury.

“They’re (Mansfield) one of the best," said Cooper.

"I think Bury are the best team we’ve faced but we could have got six points from Bury.

"Mansfield in terms of football, every teams got a different challenge and strength. Bury and Mansfield have got threats that can hit you from all different angles but I’ve been impressed with them."

Cooper also reflected on the 1-1 draw between Rovers and the Stags at the end of January, a game he felt his team had chances to win.

The Rovers chief is looking forward to the game but isn't sure what to expect in terms of which personnel will start for the Stags on the day.

"They played here on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago and they were very good in the first half and could have been a couple of goals up," he said.

"At half time we turned it around and we were better in the second half and we could have won it so two good teams, they’ve had a couple of injuries, a suspension so I’m not sure what team they’ll pick but Dave’s team will come out firing for certain."
