TWENTY-FOUR points are left to fight for. It is as simple as that.

Fight is the right word. There will be no handouts. Teams are playing for position, players are playing for contracts. This is the business end of the season and there is a real part to play for us. It is a simple one- total support.

This not a time for criticism of manager, squad or individual players. We are on the brink of something great. Leave inquests until the end of the season. As a crowd we were up for it on Saturday. Support was loud and long. One man-of-the-match performance and one sublime goal earned a point on a day when our opponents adapted better to the wild conditions.

From FGR there were too many hefty hoofs down field that ran over the goaline. We made poor use of wind advantage. Goalkeeper Lewis Ward kept us in the game with a fine display and the stunning goal from Reece Brown gave us something to hang to in a game we could easily have lost.

As well as excitement on the field there were moves forward off it. Media folk were served a pleasant lunch in the media room and the new Gym Bar opened. It seemed very inviting and a tribute to our vegan catering. After hearing an accurate summing up of the game I slipped in for a scrumptious piece of cake. If we earn that play-off spot on May 4, there will be a whole cake available.
