GLOUCESTERSHIRE all-rounder Graham van Buuren claimed five wickets to skittle out Stroud.
The South African grabbed five for 27 on a tricky track.
Only Louis Gegg and Paul Lazenbury reached 20 as the side slipped to 85-9. Some last-wicket power hitting from Gavin Dean got the side to 100, finishing with 110 all out, but it never looked like enough runs.
Chippenham’s reply got off to a flyer with the bowlers learning that, at this level class batsman, who are essentially county pros in their home country, feed off even the slightest deviation from length and line.
Opening bowlers Golding and Palmer were attacked savagely as Chippenham got off to a fast start. Spin from Deane (6-1-8-1) and Lazenbury ( 4.5-2-5-2) slowed the run chase but it was all too late and Stroud slipped to defeat by 6 wickets.
