FOREST GREEN chairman Dale Vince will consult with manager Mark Cooper over who should replace academy boss Scott Bartlett.

The New Lawn top brass are running the rule over a raft of applications following the departure of Bartlett last month.

Bartlett successfully held the post for nine years leading its academy into the EFL structure, as well as taking the first team to a National League play-off final at Wembley, during two spells as caretaker manager.

Cooper will be invited to look at the shortlist, which is expected to be whittled down this month.

He said: “The club are going to sift through the applicants, and I’ll have a look once they get to the later stages on the potential candidates, who have got a realistic chance of getting the job.”
