Forest Green have been drawn away to Championship side Charlton Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
It's a third consecutive away tie against opposition from a higher division in the competition Mark Cooper's side.
Charlton will be buoyant from their recent promotion to the Championship and with the news that manager Lee Bowyer has signed a new contract.
Forest Green reached the second round of the Carabao Cup last season, exiting after a penalty shootout defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.
The last Championship side Forest Green faced was Derby County back in 2009 when the Rams emerged 4-3 victors at the New Lawn in the FA Cup.
First round ties will be played the week commencing August 12.
