THE Forest Green mean machine moves on! A clean sheet, three points, and of course the winning goal from Celtic starlet Jack Aitchison.
Manager Mark Cooper got it right again. He may surprise some with selections, tactics or formation but the results speak for themselves. We are winning away matches. Our versatile squad is doing us proud. The game-changers on the bench and yet again they are responding to their opportunities. Mark wants all his players to be ready to do a job. They are, but are we? As a crowd we must break the two thousand barrier easily every week. This is not yet happening. The players need our support and on recent evidence the ref needed our advice which we should give them loud and clear. We must become part of the mean machine, not by being unfair but reminding them of their duty. Players must be protected and persistent foul play should be stamped on. This did not happen in the Newport fixture. Remember the high late and high tackle on our goalkeeper?
