FOREST GREEN are leading the chase for Colchester United striker Jevani Brown.
Head coach Mark Cooper is understood to be tracking the frontman who penned a two-year deal at Rovers’ League Two rivals last summer from Cambridge United on a two-year deal. Brown is expected to arrive on loan and be available for Rovers' trip to Crawley Town on Saturday.
Brown, 25, has nearly 200 senior appearances under his belt and enjoyed two successful years at Cambridge.He played for them 97 times in the last two seasons - scoring 14 times.
He has represented Jamaica at under-17s level.
Forest Green have refused to comment on speculation linking them with a move for Brown.
A Forest Green spokesperson said: “Forest Green will not comment on transfer speculation."
