CAM Ladies hosted Golden Hill in a thrilling T35 league match that saw multiple records shattered, writes June Pritchard (Chair of Cam Ladies)

Despite losing the toss and being put into bat, Cam put on an extraordinary display, culminating in a historic victory.

After an early setback with Liv Hughes falling in the second over, coach/player Marlene Brown and Captain Kiara Ford took control.

Brown's scintillating innings saw her reach 50 in the 11th over and an incredible 100 by the 20th.

Her relentless batting continued, reaching 150 by the 30th over. Ford supported superbly, achieving her maiden half-century.

The pair's record partnership of 275 runs ended with Ford’s dismissal for a career-best 70.

Brown remained unbeaten on a phenomenal 171*, leading Cam to a record score of 301 for 3.

Golden Hill's response was stifled by tight bowling and exceptional fielding. Vice-Captain Vicky Mansell's bowling spell was the highlight, claiming 6 wickets for just 3 runs, including her first-ever hat-trick.

Golden Hill struggled to build momentum and finished on 62 all out in 24 overs.

Cam Ladies' victory was marked by record-breaking performances from both Marlene Brown and Vicky Mansell, setting new standards for the club.

Players of the Match: Marlene Brown: 171* (33 fours) Vicky Mansell: 7 overs, 5 maidens, 3 runs, 6 wickets (including a hat-trick)

This match will be remembered as one of the finest in Cam Ladies' history, showcasing outstanding individual and team efforts.
