FORMER Forest Green boss Gary Owers has parted company with Aldershot Town by mutal consent.
Owers, 42, assistant boss to Kevin Dillon helped guide the League Two side to the play-offs last term.
Owers replaced Alan Lewer as manager of Forest Green Rovers in May 2005 after they had been relegated from the Conference.
However, they got a surprise reprieve as Northwich's ground failed to meet Conference rules, meaning they were relegated with Forest Green taking their place.
In his first season in charge of Rovers, he led the team to 19th place in the Conference avoiding relegation on the last day of the season with a 2-0 victory over Stevenage Borough.
However, the 2006-2007 started off disastrously and Owers was sacked in August 2006 after losing the first four fixtures.
He was in charge for just 15 months.
