A POPULAR pub near Stroud is up for sale.
The Old Neighbourhood Inn, located in Chalford Hill, is listed as lot 517 in an auction due to take place next month - it has a guide price of £400,000.
The previous landlords of the pub decided to close last September after saying 'they no longer had the fight in them left to continue'.
Issues such as Covid, the energy crisis and inflation were given as reasons for this.

They said that their electricity increases, beer prices increasing, food costs spiralling and general inflation were affecting everything.
However, the pub - which in 2021 banned under-21s after 7pm following “rude and obnoxious” behaviour from youngsters who failed to follow Covid-19 guidelines - could soon have a new lease of life after the auction on Tuesday, February 17.
The public house, large beer garden and adjoining car park are all included as part of the auction.
There is also potential for a change of use application to be submitted for the property as well as a potential to develop the car park.
